Verde Kitchen & Cocktails, Bay Shore NY | Merchant Profile

Bringing authentic Mexico City style cuisine to the Bay Shore area, Verde Kitchen and Cocktails has separated themselves from similar restaurants, making their meals fresh, genuine, and rich in flavor. Unique to the restaurant, everything from the walls, to the chairs, to the tables has been recycled, making it one of the most environmentally friendly locations to eat at in the state. The Verde name fits the restaurant perfectly, and owner Anthony Tartaglia prides himself on his ability to provide locally sourced, and fresh ingredients for his customers to indulge in.Taking the extra step for his customers has always been a priority for Anthony, and he and his team visited the heart of Mexico City for some time to really get the formula down for what it takes to deliver authentic Mexican Street Food. Doing so flawlessly, the cuisine is bar none and brings an elevated experience from what would normally be expected from a Mexican restaurant. Famous for their tacos, Verde Kitchen offers a wide range of options to try including their famous Carnitas. The tacos are made with Roasted Pork Shoulder, Pork Belly, Coriander, Cumin, Salsa Verde, and Salsa Arbol. Another popular option, the Pulpo is made with Charred Octopus, Cabbage, Crema, and Squid Ink Tortillas. Each option is made fresh, and their choices change four times a year, seasonally. The reasoning in this is to source the freshest local ingredients possible. Anthony and his team do this to ensure the highest quality dishes, and going the extra step has shown with each dish that comes out of the kitchen. Verde Kitchen also has their own Greenhouse where they grow their own spices and produce to incorporate in their dishes, making them as fresh as it comes. The rustic ambiance paired with the fresh food makes Verde Kitchen and Cocktails nothing short of impressive. The restaurant also serves a wide array of Mexican beers straight from Mexico such Day of the Dead Hefeweizen and Pacifico Clara. Their Seasonal Margaritas are reason enough to stop in, offering options such as the Tropical, made with Grilled Pineapple, Papaya & Mango infused Olmeca Altos Blanco Tequila, Orange Liqueur, fresh citrus, and organic agave. The menu is eclectic of Mexican Cuisine, and the drinks certainly bring everything full circle.
