Village Tap was established in 1990. Back then, there was not really a place on the block that you could get a bite to eat. The owners decided to take a change and open Village Tap to be the first neighborhood place where you can get something to eat and drink. Village Tap has really contributed to the growth of the neighborhood. It may seem commonplace now, but Village Tap was one of the first places that served hummus and pita in a bar and were the leader of the craft beer movement in Chicago. They had a draft beer system that allowed them to quickly expand. The burgers are very popular, along with the quesadillas. Customers love that the menu is separated by portion size. You can quickly think how hungry you are and follow the menu to the perfect dish. Two of the big draws of Village Tap aside from their food and beverage options is their photo booth and incredible beer garden. The photo booth is always fun and creates long lasting memories. The outdoor beer garden has been listed in Travel and Leisure magazine as one of the Best Beer Gardens in the country. ìFor the people that don’t know, it is a surprise when they walk back there to find such a tranquil space in the city,î explained the owner. It is also available for parties and has hosted all kinds of events.
