Vino Vino is a one-of-a-kind wine bar where they focus on showcasing boutique wine from local wineries. Vino Vinoís first location opened in San Jose in the San Pedro Market Place in 2012 and its second location opened in Sunnyvale in 2014. The owners of Vino Vino have a passion for local wines and wanted to create a space where it was accessible for everyone to try. Their slogan is ìwine without attitude,î meaning that theyíve worked to remove the formality and stigmas revolving wine drinkers making Vino Vino a casual and relaxing environment.Vino Vino offers the perfect food pairings for enjoying a glass of wine. Like their wine, they focus on using locally sourced ingredients to handcraft each dish. The menu contains American-Italian bistro fare, which includes appetizers, cheese & charcuterie, soups & salads, paninis, and desserts. Before anything is put on the menu it is tested to make sure it will pair nicely with a glass of one of Vino Vinoís wines. The Caprese Prosciutto Panini is a popular choice made with fior di latte fresh mozzarella, tomato, basil, and prosciutto on herb slab. Other fan favorites include the Seared Ahi Salad, Italian Meat & Cheese Panini, and Creme Brulee. All of the wine that Vino Vino serves is sourced from wineries that are less than two hours away from the restaurant. They sell their wine by the bottle and by the glass. Whatís unique about Vino Vino is that their wine is on a tap system. This keeps the wine fresh and also helps to keep the prices lower because it saves corkage fees and other expenses. Itís also a more environmentally safe and sustainable way of serving wine. In addition to a wonderful array of wines, Vino Vino also has two beers on tap and serves a variety of domestic and locally brewed beers in bottles. Vino VIno even uses stemless glassware for a more casual feel taking the stuffiness away from drinking wine.Overall, Vino Vino is the perfect place to sit back, relax, and visit with friends and family. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with a friendly, knowledgeable, and hardworking staff. The San Jose location in San Pedro Market Place can seat about 150 people and has indoor and outdoor seating. The Sunnyvale location is a bit smaller, seating 70 guests with just indoor dining. The next time you are in town and looking to sample some of the areaís best wines and eats, make sure to stop in at Vino Vino – you wonít be disappointed!
